Mr. Stacy Sato is excited to join Faith Lutheran School as a 3rd Grade Teacher. He brings more than 46 years of experience serving students and families in Lutheran, Christian, charter, and public schools across Hawaii, Maryland, California, Missouri, and most recently, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Throughout his career, Mr. Sato has been blessed to serve in many roles, including Lutheran school principal, classroom teacher for grades 3 through 8, athletic director, and coach. His coaching experience includes basketball, baseball, and volleyball.

Mr. Sato’s educational background includes a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, graduate studies in Lutheran Administration, a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a minor in Physical Education, and an Associate of Science degree in Recreational Instruction. He has attended Kennedy Western University, Concordia University Nebraska (Seward), Concordia University Portland, the University of Hawaii, and Leeward Community College.

Building strong relationships with students and families has always been one of Mr. Sato’s greatest joys. He believes that every child is a unique gift from God, created with special talents and abilities. His personal credo comes from Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old, they shall not depart from it.” This verse serves as a guiding principle in his teaching ministry and his commitment to helping children grow in faith, character, and knowledge.

Mr. Sato recently relocated to Anna, Texas, with his wife, Nellie. They are proud pet parents to Koa, a Labrador Retriever mix, and Lani, a Golden Retriever. When he is not in the classroom, Mr. Sato enjoys sports, coaching, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new places to eat!
