News from Preschool & PreK

Faith Lutheran School Preschool and Pre-K programs provide support for the classical Lutheran education the students receive in our elementary school. We work on fine motor skills and hand-strength for writing.

We work on focusing attention and listening skills for pre-reading. We work on coordination and large motor skills for core strength and development. We do all of these things so that we can learn to read God’s Word because our foundation is Jesus Christ (1 Cor 3:11.)

We learn about Jesus and his love for us through Bible lessons, memory work, hymns, songs, worship in chapel, prayers, and daily devotions. This month, we have reviewed God’s Creation as we studied the stars, moon, and planets along with our Bible lesson on the journey of the three wise men.

We are currently learning about winter and snow. Although it is work, preschool is a fun learning experience! We are practicing fine motor skills in writing, coloring, and art projects. We use hand strength with Legos, clothespins, and snap-together toys. We are having fun with our large muscles in throwing snowballs (rolled up socks), making snow angels, skating (on paper plates), and riding sleds (scooters)! We are thankful for your support as we get to learn with Christ as our cornerstone!
