News from Kindergarten

Kindergarten has had a great start to the New Year. We had the opportunity to celebrate Epiphany on Wednesday, January 6, in chapel.

Later, we re-read the Biblical account of the wise men’s visit in Bethlehem. We created Epiphany stars using craft sticks, glitter, and glue. The mess was worth it!

Kindergarten has been reading great books. ”Stellaluna” was a favorite. We created a book to review the story, and made our own Stellaluna bat. The kids had fun playing with their bats at recess and at home as well. There were a few injuries during play, but we were able to fix their bats and get them flying again.

Kindergarten loves to sing. We sing our hymns of the week, nursery rhymes, and prayers. We begin our day in opening where we sing our hymn of the week, and we end the day with our closing prayer, “Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow.”

We take great comfort in our memory verses every week. Recently, we memorized Psalm 56:11 “In God trust, I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?” We pray you take comfort in God’s Word, too.
