High School Teacher and Technology Coordinator

Education: Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Christ College Irvine (Now Concordia Irvine.

Describe your responsibilities at Faith Lutheran School: I teach Literature, History, Theology, Logic, Rhetoric, and Computer Applications in the high school, and this year I have been teaching seventh grade science. I’m also the Tech Coordinator for the whole school and assist with administrative duties as needed.

What do you like best about your job at Faith Lutheran School? I enjoy getting to know my students and trying to help them grow and plan for their future, especially their eternal future with Christ in heaven.

What do you think makes Faith Lutheran School a unique and special experience for students and parents? There are many things that make Faith special. First, the teachers really love their student and desire them to be successful. Second, the academic expectations are very high. Students tend to rise to whatever level they are expected to attain and, at Faith, that level is high.

One thing that really sets our high school apart is the way we integrate the teaching of history, literature, and theology. Students read primary source materials from a period of history, while also reading literature from that period and studying what was going on in the Christian church and other faiths at that time.

What kind of hobbies or special activities do you enjoy outside of work?
Golfing, fishing, camping, hiking, reading, and target shooting.

What was your favorite childhood book?

Is there anything else you would like to add?

My wife and I have four boys.
