The Sons of the American Revolution East Fork – Trinity Chapter recently recognized Faith Lutheran School of Plano for properly displaying the American flag and also recognized several Faith Lutheran School students who assisted with the Sons of the American Revolution Group the school’s Veteran’s Day event in November.
“We wanted to take the opportunity to recognize the school for displaying the American flag correctly and flying it regularly, and we also wanted to recognize the youth that assisted with the school’s Veterans Day event,” said Sons of the American Revolution East Fork – Trinity Chapter Education Chairman Bill Watts.
When visiting the Faith Lutheran School campus, Sons of the American Revolution members aided Faith Lutheran School students in raising the American flag at the beginning of the school day. The group then presented recognition certificates to Faith Lutheran School of Plano Headmaster Rev. Stephen W. Kieser and students Kenny Richmond, Nathan Kieser, Phillip Merritt, Ashley Gray, Myranda Wied and Katie Riggs.
“A Faith Lutheran School of Plano, we value any opportunity to show our respect for our country and to express our thanks to veterans who have given so much so that we may enjoy many freedoms,” said Kieser.
